Lee Enterprises from Davenport, Iowa was given the helm of the Associated Press in the United States.  Mary Junk, the milti-millionaire ethic less CEO of this shameful company sits as chairman of the AP.  The most stupid stories are put up on the "wire" to promote the US President.

The US President's friend Warren Buffett has bailed out Lee Enterprises twice since their bankruptcy in Deleware this past January-May 2012.  When a friend of the US president literally owns part of the parent company for the Associated Press (AP) then we have altered news in the United States.

Take, for example the case of Specialist William Alemar of the Virginia National Guard:

Specialist William Alemar is an Iraq veteran, applied for the Naval Academy, and was merely training for the deployment oversees to "protect our freedoms" in the United States.

This is a disgusting display of what is wrong with Lee Enterprises, the American Associated Press, and the politicization of everything.  It does not help that the prosecutor is a hyphenator, a publicly outspoken against right to bear arms, and was stupid enough to charge Specialist Alemar with terrorism.  Any charge that goes from terrorism to simple (misdemeanor) assault should mean forced resignation of Prosecutor Pamela Games-Neeley of Martinsburg, West Virginia.

This is the formerly hidden way corporations help governments, and in turn how governments help corporations like Lee Enterprises. As the people get hurt (it was an injury accident on September 14, 2007 in Hamilton MT) how is this improper use of corporations to keep the truth from the American people going to continue in the United States?

As the United States goes through an election cycle (which has become a corporation cycle) how is Lee Enterprises, charged with "reporting the news" to America going to throw its responsibility to the people? Should there be ANY faith in the American media and in turn Lee Enterprises?

As Lee Enterprises throws accidents (and crime) when asked to do so in America, why should they be trusted with the Associated Press? As Lee Enterprises gets special favors to stay on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) as their stock was below $1 in 2011, where do the favors end?

Back in the mid 1900's Firestone Rubber Co. purchased the rights to the trolley tracks in Los Angeles in an effort to sell more automobile tires. In doing so, it held back Los Angeles from making a transit system that did not use internal combustion engines, but utilized tires: Firestone Tires.

It is not just the savvy business decision that would make Donald Trump's hair part on the other side, and show corporations the money, it was the way business made consumers like Americans more dependent on Oil, Autos, and the road building mantra that defines pork in bills from US Congress.

The same thing is going on with alternative energy use. As Montana is rich in timber resources, it could be advancing in bio-fuels, and bio-mass burners to create everything from heat to diesel fuel. In Indiana the fight is over ethanol as traditional landfills are large revenue generators for their owners. When a business can't compete with new technology it reverts to local politics to save its share of the market, enter Lee Enterprises.

As Lee Enterprises is directly invested in landfill companies, if it were to protect its investment, how would the readers know if LEE was subversively influencing the vote, opinion, and outcome of a project that they are in conflict of interest? Does a media company such as Lee Enterprises have to disclose to its readers where it has investments? Of course not.

As sources tell us Lee Enterprises is heavily invested in a landfill corporation, one which attempts to keep Mary Junk's terrible decisions afloat, Lee Enterprises is reluctant to give up that cash cow. In fact Lee Enterprises stock has trouble staying above $1 on the NYSE (we suggested Viagra)

As newspapers in America are doing favors for big business, and big government (like convincing us that Mitt Romney won the nomination, or Rick Santorum is "losing his "graceful" window to exit", or that Ron Paul really doesn't matter) media is nothing more than the convincing factory, or ground truthing that sells to the highest bidder. As newspapers need not inform the public of their conflicts, perhaps the payment for their newspaper leases, and salaries are coming from the corporate desire for mis-information. As Lee needs a public a buy-in for traditional landfills in Indiana, it is vilifying politicians, it is forcing the negotiations for financing for an alternative to landfill into banking problems. Lee is trying to convice its readers that the money needs to stay where it is, because it may be a big beneficiary of that old, tired, but very profitable industry.

It is comparable to the US Government not pursuing alternative forms of transportation. The US just bought out GM, Chrylser, and the US President claims credit for "saving the Mid-West". There are too many American companies dependent on Auto parts, tires, car insurance, and road building to change to an alternative fuel for personal vehicles. As Lee Enterprises attempts to shape the view of alternative use of garbage into energy, it protects the big business interests (and its own).

The problem arises when competition of business (aka free enterprise; pardon the pun) is hindered by perception of a newspaper. Newspapers across the United States are becoming nothing more than corporate cheering sections for special interests, and usually not benefiting the public. As the trash to ethanol situation in Indiana becomes vilified to protect Lee's own interest, the public loses out on new technology, new business and new job growth opportunity. Competition is eliminated, and so is free economy as the US Press tries to fill its hands with corporate dollars to keep its presses rolling.

Is it an opinion that Lee Enterprises is engaging in the shaping of the public to benefit their own investments? Absolutely. Is it an opinion that a newspaper has ulterior motives in any story, without a doubt. Is it an opinion that Lee Enterprises needs to do whatever it takes to stay in business as it took on $27M in interest payments to restructure their $1B debt, yes.

Part of the same problem is the gullibility of the American citizen today. No one is taught to think critically, and critical thinking is not rewarded in the corporate world unless it makes more money for the corporation. Newspapers like Lee Enterprises are tapping into this void in America and plugging the paid message through it's reporting instead of hearing it on a 30 second spot on television.  Bottom line is that newspapers are taking advantage of its position as a free press, and affecting free enterprise in America--or what is left of it.

The problem arises as Americans dont have recourse to the corporate message, and one sided slants in the US press. A four star General, Petraeus the pride of West Point would say counterinsugency, buy in, and careful use, and tracking of funds to not allow corruption. That is what he is doing in Afgansitan. That is what America needs to do to counter the corporate message from Lee and other newspapers in the US.  Only then will the improper influence from the media STOP.

The AP takes a Story, Such as the Crystal L. Cox Blogger sued story, writes up one version of reality then sends it to ALL media outlets and the TV news who uses that same story without every looking into any of the documented facts.

"Mary Junck has been named to lead the AP Board. Looking at the 2010 financial report for AP I find that they reported a loss of $14,722,000 for 2010.

They also ended their defined benefit pension plan for new Employees on Jan 15,2006. Further, they have engaged in aggressive staff cutting measures. IF I am reading the income tax accounting correctly (and I'm NOT sure) , the AP didn't pay income taxes in 2010 and instead collected $7,762,000 in "welfare benefits" from the taxpayers.

I also see under Long term debt they have a revolving credit line of $200M - HMM... could this be used to keep LEE Ent. going by reducing AP costs to LEE newspapers while the AP goes into debt?

Might Mary Junck be able to raid the pension plan assets of the AP to use creatively to assist LEE with on-going income requirements?"

"A group of Ladue News employees have left the St. Louis-area Lee Enterprises lifestyle paper to start a rival publication. 

The new Town & Style will debut Feb. 9. Thirty issues are planned for the first year; a weekly schedule is planned after that. It will be led by former Ladue News publisher Lauren Rechand and editor Dorothy Weiner, and will employee about 15 people. Eight more former Ladue News employees have already joined Town & Style.

Many people are aware of "Doctors without Boarders" who volunteer at disasters throughout the world.

Well, the print media company Lee Enterprises Davenport, Iowa are "Profiteers without Ethics".

What kind of scum take pay to defame people?  What kind of Scum write more than thirty (30) articles about someone with defamatory electronic comments?  What kind of print media company has no regard for the FIRST AMENDMENT? (see video below, and just below).

Charged with Trespass after this video the day I sat on public property August 20, 2009.

Law, protected rights did not matter

On September 20, 2009 Lee Enterprises printed a pictoral front page story.

What company can brag that it profiteers off of unconstitutional behavior?  Have we forgotten the penalty for treason in this country, or more likely, we let the LAWYERS define our every morsel of life.
 
The Lee Papers in Montana are doing this cute recoiling and attempt at protecting Perry Backus from our posts.  If you believe in "eye for an "eye, we have about 25 more articles before we match their level of professionalism [except that we are telling the truth, and not defaming anyone].

I had a telephone conversation with Stacey Mueller, Publisher of the Missoulian within the last year or so.  Ms. Mueller listened as I explained how I helped a HOLOCAUST survivor at the New York State floods in 2006.  He had the tattoos on his arm still.  What in the bleeping hell has Lee Enterprises done to help anyone in need, other than their own bottom line?

Lee takes money from local and state government in Montana to protect the worst state in the union for justice.  They are told what to print, literally [I heard this in a county meeting, prior to an official ask the rest of the meeting if it were "ok" to talk about].  We have criminals openly operating in Montana: the Lee Enterprise papers who have a monopoly on the state newspapers.

There is sick pleasure in printing stories about say "kitty abuse", like domestic cat abuse in Missoula Montana.  The man accused took his own life due to the coverage from Lee Enterpreises: a scrolling headline, and a front page picture and story.  How many high fives of look how powerful we are do you think went down in the Missoulian offices in Missoula Montana?  When a newspaer has to show how powerful it is by making people want to kill themselves, Ms. Stacey Mueller, Publisher is to blame.

Lee sucks because they have no values, they take money from a state government that would put Afghanistan to shame for corruption.  That is why we nicknamed it "Montanistan".  Lee Enterprises makes this wonderful state and keeps this wonderful state Beneath the Beauty.

So we are not being sophomoric, we really think Lee sucks.  They suck due to criminal rackets with local governments in Montana, and no ethical standard whatsoever.
